Welcome to the South Birmingham Ladies Bowling League
Half-yearly Meeting. This meeting will take place at Tally Ho Sports and Conference Centre on Monday 17th September at 7.15 pm. Could all trophies be returned at thsi meeting.
Annual Prize Presentation. This years presentation will be held on Friday 2nd November at the Stirchley United Working Mens Club. A reminder that all prize winners need to attend the Prize Presentation, or nominate someone to collect their prize, otherwise prize money will be forfeited.
League Matches - Start Times Please note that League matches on Tuesday 7th and 14th August should start at 6.45pm and on Tuesday 21st and 28th August should start at 6.30 pm Elizabeth Cooper, League Secretary
South Birmingham Ladies Challenge Shield Final will be held on Sunday 12th August between Baldwin A and King George V at Romsley starting at 4.30 pm. All support would be most welcome. Liz Cooper
Ladies Consolation Cup Final Sunday 12th August. The final will be between Ye Olde Knowle A and Romsley at Kings Norton BC starting at 2.30pm. Please come along and support the teams. Thanks to Kings Norton for hosting the final. Michelle Meadowcroft, Competition Secretary
NSPCC MIXED DOUBLES - Congratulations to Shannon Kernick and Callum Mitchell who beat Emily Weaver and Nathan Caines. Also thanks to Kings Norton for hosting the event and to Lynda and June who provided refreshments throughout the day.
Semi Final Rounds - 19th June 2018 - Challenge Cup and Consolation Cup - draw now on line. Start Time 6.45 p.m. The following Clubs will be host venues for these matches:

SOUTH BIRMINGHAM LADIES -NSPCC MIXED DOUBLES - Please note that the NSPCC Mixed Doubles Competition will take place on Sunday 24th June - green to be confirmed. This competition is usually popular and gives the youngsters an opportunity to play competitive bowls. Please send your entres as soon as possible. You should already have an entry form but this can be downloaded from the website. The tab on the left just has N on it. I will also accept entries via email but these will need to be paid even if the pair do not turn up on the day. The entry fee is £4 per pair. Please send entries to me rather than Bev. I will accept entries initially up to Thursday 14th June which will give you two Tuesdays to ask your ladies. Many thanks. Liz Cooper, Secretary
South Birmingham Ladies Doubles Final Congratulations to Abby Easthope and Emily Weaver who beat Maureen Gamble and Sarah Combellack in today's final. All four players are from Banbury BC. Bev Pritchard

Sad News - Graham Lawrence. I have received the following message regarding Graham Lawrence who many of you will have known for many years. I am sure you will all join me in sending our condolences and best wishes to his family and everyone at Kings Norton Bowling Club for their loss. Bev Pritchard. "I am sad to report that we have had a sudden death of one our our team members. Graham Lawrence sadly passed away on holiday last week. He was a stalwart of our club and would help in any way he could. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Lynda (Kings Norton Bowls Secretary)"
Cup Draws - Cup draws have been made for Div 1 Challenge Shield and Div 2 Consolation Cup. There are only 2 fixtures on 10th April (6.30 pm start). Thanks to the two host clubs, can you please ensure that someone opens up on that evening and equipment is available. Good luck to all teams.
