In the rearranged Ladies Merit from 2018 held at Wadsley House Sheffield , Our 2 representatives still in Donna Bennett Malpas Sports and Kerry Dance Hadnall both lost their last 16 tie 8 and 16 respectfully hopefully when North Shropshire host this at Calverhall in June we will have a local winner.

North Shropshire had two teams make the journey to Cleckheaton for the Junior 10 a side championships. The A team won their first game comfortable against Yorkshire B then had to play East Midlands in the group decider they were 8 chalks up after 5 blocks but just lost it in the back 5 to lose by 15. The B team who had the harder group against Yorkshire A and South Yorkshire played valiantly against much more experienced players and will learn from their matches. Into the Consolation Final against South Yorkshire the A team were 15 chalks behind after the first 5 blocks but Captain Ed Proudlove had left a strong back 5 to try and turn it around which they did overall winning by 10 shots. Congrats to all North Shropshire players who represented their county excellently .

From todays entry of 39 players we had another new winner, Andy Marshall who beat Jack Hewitt 13-12 in the Final
