Sun Aug 4th Start 12.30 Keith and Irene Moulton Classic August 4th 2019 12.30 pm Start Venue Washlands. This event is for lower league players (Division 3 and 4). Bar and Refreshments available all Day.  Defending Champion Keith Moulton.

Mon Aug 26th The Phil Wright competition will now be held on Bank holiday Monday 26th August. Contact Paul Chamberlain 07734 678823 or Matt kelly Walley 07725 404585 by text message to enter. Alternatively, details will be on social media so it is also possible to enter by this method.

The draw has been made for the quarter finals of the Charity Cup to be played on Thursday 20th June - 7pm start.

Neil Worthington wins the Burton merit at Tutbury beating Colin Belcher 21-5 in the final.

The draw has been made for the finals day of the Burton Merit to be played at Tutbury on Saturday 25th May - 4pm start.

Reminder to clubs about league rule 8 Eligibility.

8.1 is now active from week 6 until week 19.

However players must be eligible as stated in rule 8.2

Also players could now be tied to a higher team after playing five games.

League rules can be found on the Rules tab.

Reminder to all clubs insurance cover should be held from 01/05/2019, Pat Crowther has not yet sent the list from Ensliegh, if you have not yet renewed your insurance please do so as Glynn Holmes will be chasing defaulters, to avoid a possible suspension please renew now.

Thu May 2nd

Coach Bowls Level 1 course

Course dates - Saturday 1st June and Saturday 13th July.

Duration - 0900 to 1700 each day.

The six week period between each day is to allow delegates to prepare a portfolio.

Venue - Shobnall Leisure Complex.

Coffee and tea will be provided, delegates to take their own lunch.

Delegates will be required to provide a photograph for incorporation into their certificate.

Via the two development groups, we are able to offer the course FREE OF CHARGE to potential participants, usually £130.

Teams in division four please note that both Barton C and Belmont B have withdrawn from the league.

All fixtures against these two teams now become byes.

Sun Jan 27th

Reminder to club secretaries, if a player is transferring to your club, please do not add them onto your list of registrations.

This will be done by the Secretary when he receives the signed transfer form.

At tonights rules revision meeting amendments to league rules 8.1 & 8.2 were passed.

The rules have been updated on the Burton league rules page.

Sat Jan 19th

At todays BCGBA meeting the fee for life membership was increased from £10 to £12. Replacement cards was increased from £3 to £4.

This comes into effect immediately, therefore any new memberships sent to the registrar must be sent with the new fee of £12.
