A message from our Charman Fred Brazendale.
It has been decided that:
1. Prize money (£100 and £50) for 1st and 2nd place in each division.
2. No end of season lunch
3. No Doubles Competition
4. Congratulate all bowlers for taking part and making this special season a success. Looking forward to next season which, hopefully,
will be as near to "normal" as possible.Mon Jul 19th
Due to the very high temperatures that we are having at the moment you may either play your matches in the morning or play them on Tue Sept 28th.
Please can the teams liaise with each other as to what they wish to do.
For this year we are allowing a player to play twice if a team is short of players. 6 chalks will be deducted from the score for each player that plays twice.Mon Jun 21st
Please note that each team will still need to collect their usual £2.00 per match fee for this season.Mon Jun 14th
PARKING ISSUES AT TILSTOCK BOWLING AND TENNIS CLUB
Please be aware that there is a lot of building occurring in Tilstock at present with 3 sites being built including the Old Vicarage opposite the Club. There may therefore be issues with parking so apart from their own car park they recommend parking on the Village hall Car Park (not on the road up to it) or the car park next to the Church.
Also w/c 26th July there will be roadworks closing Tilstock Lane from the Wem Road end so access will only be from the Truck stop/Raven Pub end of the village.Sat Jun 12th
With regards to refreshments. NO refreshments will be made available by the home team. This is in line with other leagues this year. Team members supply their own drinks etc.Mon May 31st

The Latest Document from the BCGGBA has been released as regards the return to play. This can be viewed HereThu Feb 25th
Barlows League Captains,
Hi all, we, your committee, have started to consider how and when to start the 2021 season.
There are some problems to over come, second vaccines, club house usage,BCGBA guides etc. Mike has suggested the following, which I think can/will work.
Start the league later, that will solve many of the problems. To enable this later start we should have FOUR leagues of about 10 teams in each league over 18 weeks. The leagues will be based on how each team finished in the last set of results. The season would start on Tue June 1st and end, as normal, the last Tue of September. This will avoid overlapping with the start dates of indoor leagues. Fixtures would be created by Mike for bowlers to download from our site. This avoids the need to have booklets reprinted.
Could you, as previous and/or future captains, ask your bowlers if they wish to take part. We want to know their feelings and how many potential teams could be entering.
Could you please submit a reply as soon as possible so we can finalise and publish details of the season ahead.
Regards and best wishes, keep safe and stay healthy, looking forward to seeing you all in the new season,
