So far this season, the averages have not been correct to the Frodsham League method.

Now, it has been sorted today.

So if you have dropped or risen in the averages, that is the reason why.

John Writes...
There is no holding the teams at the top of Div One, Red Lion A
with a full house at home to Pavilions B (Barry Ellams 21-01 and
Dave Williams 21-03). Helsby D away winners at Goshawk B
with 21-07 cards from Nigel Parker and Graham Yearsley.
Kingswood B beat Chetwode A, thanks to the help of a
card from John Hoey 21-06. Goshawk A were away winners
at depleted Egerton Mem, who had Bob Garner as the only
lonely in this one. Grapes edged home against Red Lion B,
Leigh Dobson 21-08, while John Ellams won 21-06 for the visitors
Norton B (Mark Hughes 21-07) did likewise against Halton A.
Results were split even in Div Two, home winners being
Hazel Pear (Jenny Allman 21-03) against Kingsley B.
Helsby A (Clive Green 21-03) to RWMC and Kingsley A
(Geoff Ford 21-05) over Castle Park B. Kingswood A
(Dave Jacks 21-08) won at Chetwode B (Judy Harrison 21-08).
Helsby B (Stan Perkins 2106) at Willow Brook B and Norton B
(Marcus Slonecki and Joe Scott both 21-09) against Halton B
who had Stephen Rowlands also winning 21-09.
Subscription (Don Bryning 21-04) were the only away winners
in Div Three at Helsby C. While Egerton B (John Wright 21-03)
won at home to Norley, as did Frodsham Cons (Chris Weston 21-01)
to Egerton C, Rock Park (Barry Hopley 21-02) were also home
winners over Pavilions D. As were Barrow (John Field 21-07)
to Willow Brook A who were a man short again.
I must apologize to three teams, Kingswood B, Halton B
and Frodsham Cons due to a clerical error by me, we
have got them playing away for the next three weeks.

Results Secretary Pete writes...

A number of players have been very cheeky and said 'What is it that you do now?'

My reply is very easy. I do more!

Hard to believe, but since everyone else puts the results in, I still have to check all is correct.

Then copy into my PC and onto my old format that I use to use for allbutacross and save it all safely ( hopefully )

This is because, should the MB system crash or their site get hacked, the Frodsham league will have all the information stored safely.

I would then be in a position to put it back onto the allbutacross site, if the worst happens, like in the old days.

So there you are, I'm not sitting here drinking more cups of tea and eating more biscuits....sadly!

Also, many of you must have noticed that many things are mirrored from Cup games etc on both sites.

This allows everyone time to get use to using the new MB system.

I must say to everyone, that the MB system and the way you are all imputting the information is brilliant.

Well done to you all.

Best wishes from Pete

( just about to put the kettle on and look in the cookie jar...probably best not to tell Lynn! )

Cup Competitions...( John B is to check and complete shortly )

Both the Fred Rogers Cup and Alf Jones Cup have been updated.

Both team Competitions are on a waterloo draw, from when they were drawn at the pre-season meeting.

It could have been read incorrectly, as teams where playing Thursday and Friday.

To avoid any more confusion and so it reads correct.

All dates will read Friday on the MB system, but some will play on the Thursday on the same week.

To help accomodate teams and club greens.

It shows correct on the allbutacross Frodsham Competition page.

Remember any team NOT playing and losing in Fred Rogers Cup will not be entered into the Alf Jones Cup.

Mon Jan 29th

The Frodsham league is going to use the MB system again this season.

The team codes for the Frodsham League this season are the same as last season.

Any problems, please email me or if it’s more serious, please chase John B 731034.

Hope you enjoy your season.

Best wishes
