    BURTON CHARITY CUP RULES

  1 The Competition shall be styled the Burton and District Bowls Association Charity Cup Competition.  
  2 It shall be controlled by the Executive Committee of the Association and the decision of the said committee shall be final  
    in all disputes arising from any matters relating to the competition.  
  3 All teams in the League are entered in the Competition for the Charity Cup by the League Secretary. Squad sheets along with  
    players registration sheets to be in the hands of the League Secretary by the last Saturday in March as per League Rule 1.1.   
    No player can be added to the Charity Cup squad sheet after this date. Any club not complying with Charity Cup Rule 4  
    shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Charity Cup. Any player playing for a club in the league is not eligible to play for  
    any other club in the Charity Cup competition (See League Rule 8.5).   
    Any club wishing to enter an extra team in the Charity Cup to notify the League Secretary by the last Saturday in March.  
  4 The teams shall consist of 10 players and the games shall be played in singles of 21 up with the match being decided on aggregate  
    score. The Competition shall be played on handicap lines, the handicap being added to the score when the game is completed.  
    In the event of a tie the match shall be replayed. Should the final result in a tie the replay must be arranged within two weeks  
    at the same venue unless the green is not available, the Executive Committee shall choose a new venue should this be the case.  
    The handicap shall be set by the Executive Committee, the clubs to supply a list of their teams at the time of entry.  
    A player shall play for only one team and shall not play at a lower level than that at which he has been registered.  
  5 In all rounds the Captains shall number their score cards in bowling order from one to ten. The Captains will then toss for the  
    jack at the commencement of the match and choose odd or even (thus both sides receive five jacks each).  
    All matches shall be played with four ends on the green throughout the match.  
  6 All matches are to be played on neutral greens on the dates fixed by the Executive Committee.  
  7 All moneys taken at the matches and any donations received are to be handed to the Association Treasurer not later than  
    fourteen days after the final has been played.  
  8 If requested the League Secretary shall furnish Club Secretaries with a list of players nominated by other Clubs.  
  9 In the event of the Competition at any time being discontinued, the Cup shall be returned by the Association to the Donor.  
  10 All matters not covered by the above rules shall be governed by the laws of the Association and the BCGBA.
